Hear What Others Have to Say

What strikes me most about her is her passion and commitment. She is a very genuine person who believes in her community and is dedicated to do what is best for it.

David A. Ullrich, Executive Director
Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities Initiative

TOBM is fortunate to enjoy your strong leadership and commitment to making your town a wonderful place to live, work and visit.

Richard M. Daley, Mayor
City of Chicago

It is reassuring that this Training Centre (Meaford) has the support of local communities, particularly the Blue Mountains. Events such as this contribute to fostering a positive and ongoing relationship between our two communities. The support that your community continues to show on behalf of the soldiers and staff of this Training Centre is most heartening

D.A. Mills Lieutenant-Colonel
Commanding Officer
Land Force Central Area Training Centre

The Ontario government is pleased to have invested $66,000 toward the preparation of the TOBM Sustainable Community Improvement Plan. I am pleased that, with the help of the Rural Economic Development Program, you now have a plan in place to build a vibrant and sustainable community.

Leona Dombrowsky
Minister, Agriculture, Food & Rural Affairs

By speaking you helped us reinforce the necessity of building health centres in our municipalities in order to attract new physicians and retain those we have.

Lynn Johnson
Board Chair NEGHC Inc.

I also think there is room for us to continue working together, and I like your idea of collaborating to improve the profile of our area through joint public relations and media communications on projects we are working on together.

Cal Patterson, Mayor
Town of Wasaga Beach

I applaud you for your commitment and dedication to these Games. Your skill, creativity and hard work established the favourable conditions that contributed to this event’s success.

Margarett R. Best
Minister
Ministry of Health Promotion

In the TELUS World Skins history we have visited some of Canada’s most recognized resort destinations. Your community set a new standard for civic engagement never before experienced. Regions are often slow to grasp the potential of such an event. Thank you for helping to leave such positive lasting experiences for all those involved.

Brad Pelletier
Senior Vice President & Managing Director
IMG Canada
Proprietor of the Skins Game brand

It was a pleasure meeting Ellen last week. She is a tremendously outgoing person and represents your area very well.

Richard Murzin
Manager, Communications
Niagara Escarpment Commission

You gave me that boost to actually start working out. I guess being mayor is hard, but I wish you luck with that. I’ll always remember your smile.

Student

Just a short note to say how much I enjoyed your keynote address at our OPBA Conference last Wednesday...your words remind me that there is always hope and the human spirit can prevail over tremendous odds.

Regarding the Georgian Bay and Great Lakes communities, Ellen sees the big picture of the incredible importance and value of the resource, in economic, social, and environmental terms. As a member of an organization/board, you can count on her to be there, be involved, have good ideas and instincts.

David A. Ullrich, Executive Director
Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities Initiative

As our area and the Great Lakes (Georgian Bay) face many new challenges we need Ellen Anderson's commitment, leadership skills, and ability to be a true team player. This region is great because of people like Mayor Anderson. I had the privilege of working with Mayor Anderson when I was Mayor of Collingwood, and as a fellow Director of hers on the Great Lakes Cities Initiative. When she speaks of the Blue Mountains you can see the gleam of pride in her eyes. Ellen’s dedication to the best interests of her community, the Blue Mountains, is known by all. She calls it the way it is.
